After a good night’s rest, Ash woke up anxious. That day he would have a chance to compete in a Gym battle again—against Brock or Misty!

“Oh, YEAH!” Ash said as he and his friends rode toward the Cerulean City Gym.

The whole Pokémon School crew was in awe as they scrambled off the bus and walked toward the entrance. It was an enormous building with a glass roof that looked a lot like a cut diamond—a Gym that looked like a gem!

“Look!” Sophocles pointed out once they were inside. “Something’s over there!”

There was “something” standing in the middle of the arena, not moving.

“Hey, it’s Psyduck!” Ash said. Psyduck had always been one of Misty’s favorites, even if it was a little unpredictable.

“Pika, pika!” Of course Pikachu remembered Psyduck. Psyduck was unforgettable!

“So cute!” Lana said of the Water-type Pokémon.

“Hey!” Misty said, entering the arena. “Thanks a lot for minding the store, Psyduck!” She turned around and greeted her guests. “Welcome to Cerulean City Gym. My Gym!”
